I am considering getting the new mac mini to replace my Dual 1.8 Power PC G5. I upgraded my Photoshop to the new CS4 for the functions functions like page rotation, zooming to any size and such but my current graphics card ( Nvidia GeForce FX 5200) cannot do the Open GL and shader 3.0 that is needed. I am running a 23' Apple moniter and would like to know if the graphics card in a mac mini will work with this monitor and Photoshop CS4 and make use of the Open GL and Shader 3.0 functions? Any advise would be helpful. If you sell the G5, the upgrade to the mini gives a great price/performance ratio and when/if you upgrade to Mac Pro, the mini will make a great home theater device. Thanks for the reply but it's not the processer that I am concerned about, I run it fine on my G5 with 2 gigs of ram. It is the graphic card that I am questioning, if it will support the new features of Photoshop CS4.
I know the processer will do fine but i am not sure that the graphics card can do ALL the funtions. My current card cannot not but Photoshop still runs and runs fine I just don't have access to some of the newer features that I mentioned and I am trying to find out if the Graphics card in the mini can run all the features of photoshop.
